How To Find The Perfect Yoga Practice

There are lots of ways that you can pursue a more mindful life. You can eat better, practice gratitude, sleep enough, among other things. You can also choose a yoga practice, and luckily there are many, many options depending on what your goals are.

For example, you might want to improve your cardio vascular fitness level—lose weight, test your limits.

There are several yoga options for that. Ashtanga yoga may perhaps be the best known; it follows an exact sequence that never changes. It shares some of those same parameters with Vinyasa, although that practice differs each time. There are also less physically aggressive yoga practices, such as Hatha. That option is a good pursuit for those that want to start a practice; it’s a method that’s been found to help people recover from stress more quickly. Other yoga options follow a more restorative avenue, including Anusara; that is founded on the belief of inherent goodness. Iyengar is a yoga practice that helps restore or heal from injuries or chronic conditions. Finally, there’s restorative yoga—poses are held for a very long time for a supremely relaxing practice.
