Shoonya mudra

Shoonya mudra also known as Aakash shamak mudra. This mudra reduces Aakash (space) element within the body.

How to do  Shoonya mudra:




1. Sit in any comfortable posture.

2. Place the tip of the middle finger at the bottom of thumb finger and apply the little pressure to form Shoonya mudra. Look at the shoonya mudra picture.




How Shoonya Mudra works:




The middle finger represents Aakash element when this finger place at the bottom of thumb finger that represents fire element. The fire element in the thumb finger suppresses the Aakash element. The decrease in Aakash element also decreases the bodily humor Vata.

The decrease in the internal space restrict all the remaining four elements. A combination of Vayu mudra, Surya mudra, Agni-shamak and jal-shamak mudra is very much beneficial.

The element Aakash is also a vital part of bodily humor Vata. Shoonya mudra reduces Vata dosha.  Shoonya mudra is very much beneficial for those who have Vata dosha.


Benefits of Shoonya mudra:


Shoonya Mudra is beneficial in the treatments of the following diseases.

1. feeling of emptiness or numbness in the body or body parts like the chest, the head, and abdomen.

2. All the disorders of the ear like pain, tinnitus(noises), vertigo and acquired deafness.


Duration of Shoonya mudra:


In the case of any severe problem practice this mudra up to the problem relieves. Forty-five minutes of practice is enough to heal chronic health problems.

The practice of shoonya mudra should be stopped after the problems relieved.
