Apaan mudra is an important mudra that is beneficial to detoxify and energize the body.

How to do Apaan mudra:



1. First of all, sit in any comfortable posture.
2. Now, Join the tips of the ring finger, middle finger and thumb finger to form Apaan mudra.

How Apaan mudra works:


Apaan mudra is a combination of both Prithvi and Aakash mudra. The practice of Apaan mudra increases both Kapha and Vata humor and reduces Pita humor. 

Benefits of Apaan mudra:


Apaan mudra is useful in the treatment of following conditions

1. Piles, Flatulence, and Constipation.
2. Anuria and absence of sweat.
3. Burning sensation in body or body parts.
4. Delayed delivery of a child.
5. All the diseases caused due to deficiency of Vata.
6. All the disorders caused due to deficiency of Kapha.
7. All the diseases caused due to an excess of Pita.


Duration for Apaan mudra:


forty-five minutes of regular practice is enough to get good results of Apaan mudra.

Precautions for Apaan mudra:


If you are a Vata and Kapha mixed Prakruti person, then you should practice this mudra in moderation only.
