Apaan-Vayu Mudra is one of the vital mudras in hand mudras. It is also called as "Mritsanjeevani" Mudra. The practice of this Mudra is beneficial for those who suffers angina pectoris or a heart attack.
1. First of all, sit in a comfortable posture.
2. Now, join the tips of thumb finger ring finger and middle finger after that place the tips of index finger at the base of thumb finger to form Apan-Vayu mudra. Look at the picture of Apaan-Vayu Mudra.
The practice of this mudra reduces Vayu and fire element and increases earth element. It is useful in three ways.
1. Removes blockages and detoxifies the body.
2. Increase strength and vitality.
3. Relaxes mind, body, and muscles.
Apaan-Vayu mudra is useful in the treatment of the following diseases.
1. Hypertension or high blood pressure.
2. Obstruction of urine and excessive sweating.
3.All the painful conditions like heel pain, joint pains, back pain, tummy pain, toothache, headache.
4. Angina pectoris, bad effects of heart attack, fast heart beat, and palpitations.
5. All the disorders caused due to an excess of air and fire elements.
6. All the diseases caused due to deficiency of Kapha humor and earth element.
Forty-five minutes of regular practice and in case of chest pain you may continue up to the pain disappears.
