We all eat cooked vegetable but after reading this you will never eat normally cooked vegetables

 

 

Most of the vegetables should take in their natural raw state in the form of salads. But we tend to eat cooked vegetables.when you cook the vegetables it loses it's nutritive value. You should take care to cook vegetables in a proper manner that it won't lose its nutritive values. Here is the healthy way to cook vegetables.

  1. Wash vegetables thoroughly in clean water under a tap. Cut or chop vegetables into as large pieces as possible and boil the chopped pieces in water. Adding a pinch of salt to the water   helps preserve vitamin B-complex and vitamin C. Never add baking powder or soda. They decrease the effectiveness of the pancreatic juices.

  2. Cook vegetables slowly over a low flame. This preserves their natural flavor and makes them easy to digest. Cooking quickly over high heat destroys valuable nutrients.

  3. Cook in the bare minimum quantity of water necessary to cover the vegetables. cover the cooking vessel tightly while cooking.

  4. Cook for as short a time as possible and serve hot.

  5. Preferably use earthenware,enameled brass or copper vessels that have been properly tinned for cooking. Never cook vegetables in aluminium vessels. This reduces the effectiveness of the pancreatic juices.


If you follow this in your cooking you will get almost every nutrients in the vegetables. Unhealthy cooking will leads to many health problems. Never eat vegetables that are cooked with out taking proper care to keep the nutritional values.
