Steam bath: Here is what happens to your body after a steam bath

 

Steam bath is one of the ancient way of healing. It was  practiced in the ancient Harappan civilization.  It has numerous health benefits and here it is what happens to your body after you take a steam bath.

Steam bath is one of the most important healing practice. Which  induces perspiration in a most natural way.

 



 

You should clad in minimum loin cloth or underwear, and you have to sit on a stool inside a specially designed cabinet. Before entering to the cabin you should drink one or two glass of cold water and protect your head with a cold towel.

The duration of steam bath is about ten to twenty minutes or until profuse perspiration takes place. A cold shower should be taken immediately after the bath.

Steam bath helps to eliminate morbid matter from the surface of the skin. It also improves circulation of blood and tissue activity. It relieves rheumatism, gout,uric acid problems  and obesity. The steam bath is helpful in all forms of chronic toxemia. it also relieves neuralgias,chronic nephritis, infections, tetanus and migraine.

It is better you take at least two steam bath in a weak to get health and vitality.

Precautions :

Very weak patients, pregnant women,cardiac patients and those suffering from high blood pressure should avoid steam bath. If you feels giddy or uneasy during the steam bath, then you should take one or two glasses of cold water and wash the face with cold water.
