Vitis vinfera, Draksha, Dakh, Angoor, drakshe, Angoora, Tiratchai, Muntiri, Draksha.

Ripe fruits- fresh and dry, leaves, stems and flowers of grapes are used in different Ayurvedic treatments.

Fruits of grape are refrigerant, laxative, diuretic, haemostatic, aphrodisiac, antispasmodic, digestive.

Leaves of grapes are diuretic, blood purifier, astringent analysis.

Flowers of grapes are expectorant, emmenagogue.

Taking raisins with honey or sugar twice a day helps to overcome anaemia.

Dry cough

A decoction prepared with grapes and honey is consumed twice a day to get quick relief.

Bleeding disorders

Make a paste from raisins and licked with honey twice a day to arrest bleeding and cure associated anaemia.

Cosmetic

Internal usage of grapes acts as a blood purifier and also improves complexion.

Heart ailments

Taking one ounce of grape juice every day will help to tone heart.

Fainting

To prevent fainting spells, give an ounce of fresh grape juice daily to the affected. This improves blood circulation and reduces the incidence of fainting.

Liver trouble

To tone, sluggish liver take fresh grapes for one week.
