Frigidity




Frigidity is a state that the patient have no sexual drive and response for an extended period. Frigidity may happen to both men and women, but women are more prone to this problem.

Causes for Frigidity


According to Ayurveda frigidity can occur due to Pathological reasons, psychological reasons and physiological reasons.


The psychological reasons are given below.


1. Anxiety.

2. Fear.

3. Depression.

4. stress.

5.Guilt about sexual involvement.

6. Conflict between the partners

7. Past sexual abuse.


The physiological reasons are;


1.  Pregnancy.

2. Menstrual cycles.

3. Lactation.

4. Injury to the pelvic region.

5. Postnatal period.

7. Birth control pills or hormones imbalance.


Symptoms of  Frigidity

Ayurvedic treatment for Frigidity


In the treatment of frigidity, first of all, we give digestive herbs to restore health. It also helps to eliminate all the toxins accumulated in the body.


Along with herbal remedies, the spiritual advice is given to strengthen the mind and heal the disturbances at a mental level.



 



Diet & Lifestyle Advice to overcome Frigidity





  • Avoid smoking, alcohol, tea, coffee, and packaged or processed foods.

  • Avoid use of white flour and polished (white) rice; use whole-wheat flour and brown rice instead.

  • Increase the use of spices like fennel, parsley, sage, and anise, as they are known to boost the sex drive for females.

  • Increase the use of fresh fruits, fresh fruit juices, pistachios, almonds, raisins, figs, and prunes.

  • Body massage with sesame oil helps to revive muscular vigor and stimulate the nerves.




Home Remedies




  • Take about three tablespoons of powdered banyan tree root with ½ cup of milk.

  • Have one teaspoon of powdered Winter Cherry (Ashwagandha) with a cup of milk once daily.

  • Boil one teaspoon of freshly grated ginger in one cup of milk. Simmer on low heat for twenty minutes. Add sugar to taste and take this once a day either in the morning or evening.

  • Boil ten rose petals in four tablespoons of vinegar until it develops into a paste. Apply this paste three to four times a day on the affected joint.

  • Take twenty gm each of turmeric powder, dried ginger powder and roasted fenugreek seed powder. Take one teaspoon of the mixture twice every day with warm water.

  • Mix juice of carrot, beetroot and cucumber, half a cup and drink regularly. It acts as a diuretic and is recommended for gout.

  • Heat one tablespoonful of mustard oil in a pan on low flame till it is fuming hot; now add two to three  peeled off garlic buds to it. Turn off the flame and let the oil cool. Apply this oil on the affected joints. You can also replace the garlic buds with cumin seeds.

  • Heat 250 ml of coconut oil in a pan and add Three to four Indian gooseberries that are cut into pieces. Heat until the gooseberries turn dark brown or black. Use the oil for hair massage two to three times a week.

  • Take 1 cup of curry leaves and grind them with one cup of buttermilk. Apply this to the hair for one hour, and then wash the hair with an herbal shampoo.


Mudra For Frigidity
