Corpse pose yoga pose

Bhujanga asana:



Bhujanga means snake. In this pose body takes the shape of a snake with its hood raised. So it is called so.

How to perform corpse yoga pose:

Lie flat on stomach keeping the palms on the ground by the sides of the chest below the shoulders. Breath in. Raise head, neck and chest below like the raising of the hood of a snake and feel the pressure travelling down the spine from one vertebra to another. Bend the spine backwards, keeping the part of the body from navel to the toes of the feet straight, touching the ground. Retain the breath. Bring the head down, simultaneously breathing out until the body touches ground. Repeat four to five times.

Duration:

A few seconds each time.

Besides making the spine elastic, it tones up the deep and the superficial muscles of back. In ladies, it helps in the removal of various uteroovaroverian troubles. This yoga posture removes constipation, increases appetite, and arouses Kundalini Shakti.
