
Other names of Clove
Syzygium aromaticum, Lavangam, Laung, Lavanga, Kirampu, Lavangamu, and Karampu.
We use dried flower buds of clove. It is aromatic, refrigerant, ophthalmic, digestive, carminative, stomachic, stimulant, antispasmodic, antibacterial, aphrodisiac, expectorant and anthelmintic.

Vomiting
Take few cloves and fry it then powder and add a little honey to it for licking down slowly to stop vomiting.
Stye
In the treatment of eye infection, paste cloves and apply on the spot to reduce inflammation.
Tooth cavity
Drop little clove juice into the dental cavity to numb the nerve ending and bring down pain. You could even chew the cloves as such for the same effect.
Headaches
Clove oil is an excellent remedy for both headaches and toothaches. A paste of clove can be applied to the head as a counter-irritant to relieve a headache.
Cough
Chewing clove is one of the best choices to get relief from a cough.
Subside thirst
Especially in intestinal disorders when there is constant thirst, the peel of cloves should be pasted and taken with hot water.
Cloves contain a chemical called' eugenol' that inhibits the growth of the bacteria. It is a natural antibiotic.
