Wounds
Camphor is useful to relieve pain and inflammation of wounds. Take a little camphor powder and ghee mix it and make a paste of it and apply on the wounds.
Joint Pains
Camphor is a wonderful remedy for joint pains. Take a little hot sesame oil and add few pieces of camphor to it apply it to painful joints.
Muscle cramps
The above mixture is also useful in muscle cramps.
Toothaches
hold a piece of cloth soaked in camphor oil between teeth to numb ache, or you could press camphor and pepper powder on the tooth.
Common Cold
Camphor is used as a smelling salt in bouts of cold. Put a few drops on a hanky and sniff to clear a stuffy nose.
Burning Sensation
Powdered camphor is dissolved in bath water. Sandal pastes may be added to enhance the effect.
Burns
Camphor powder added in oil applied on burns will give quick relief.
Itching around the anus
Make a paste of thymol and camphor, or camphor and just sesame oil to make a soothing ointment.
Itching Eczema
Camphor may be added to any preparation for relieving itchy lesion, as it numbs thereby soothes the urge to scratch.
Lice infestation
Adding camphor to coconut oil, coupled with washing the hair with diluted camphor for water keeps lice at bay.
