Acupressure for maintaining healthy eyes
For maintaining healthy eyes, the following exercises should be carried out once after prolonged use of eyes( for example continuous reading or doing fine needle works etc.), otherwise once in the morning or evening.
- Washing and Warming-up of Handa and Eyes:
Before starting the actual exercises, wash your hands with soap and eyes with cold water sprinkling it on eyes when a handful of cold water is filled in the mouth also. Make them dry with a soft warm towel. Rub the palms together rapidly to warm them and put the warm palms on the eyes. Do so seven times.
2. Wiping the Forehead:
Wipe your forehead 7 times slowly with the tips of fingers of your both hands from the middle of the eyebrows to front hairline above up to relief point 1 and then both sides. Massage relief points 2,3 and 4 also.

3. Massaging the upper orbits:
Close your eyes, put the four fingers of each hand on the forehead and ball of thumbs upon the upper orbit of each eye beneath the eyebrows and massage softly relief point 5 and 6 carefully when the eyes are closed.

4. Massaging the Nose-root:
Close the eyes and massage relief point 7 ends of nose-root upwards with the thumb-ball and downwards with the ball of the x finger. Repeat this procedure for about 21 times.

5. Massaging the Cheeks:
Place your thumb at the depression of relief point 8 below lower jaw and index finger on relief point 9 below the eyes and above the cheeks. Keeping the other fingers in the form of fists. Massage the cheeks centrally and applying pressure from down to upward between relief point 9 and relief point 8 with the index finger balls for a minute or so.
