Human sexuality is a means of expression and mirrors the eternal act of creation constantly taking place on all levels of life througout the universe. When oneness became plurality at the moment of creation, formless being intially divided itself into two fundamental forms of years ago the chinese named these primordial forces Yin and Yang. The interaction of these energies brings forth all creation. The female Yin is unceasingly fertilized by the male seed of yang and produces all of life's myraid forms.
At the physical human level this interaction of forces manifests itself as sexuality. Therough it the human being is connected withg the eternal act of thje creation of life in its entirety, a nd the ecstasy he or she may experience is a reflection of the bliss of creation.
Within the entire universe the forces of Yin and Yang manifest themselves as polarity. In order to exist, everything has its opposite or conterpoint. Every point depens on its conterpoint in order to exists either. This fundamental rule can be applied to everything.We can exhale only if we inhale and it the one ceases, so does the other. The internal brings about the external, day brings about night , light brings about shadow birth leads to death, woman leads to man etc..where by the two given polarities are always interchangeable. In order to be complete, every point must have its conterpoint.
Yin and Yang clearly symbolizw the rhythmic movement of all life.Yin represents the female, entending, emotional, passive and unconscious part of the whole, whereas Yang stands for the male, contracting, active and conscious side.This however, in no way represents a value judgement in the sense of one or the other possessing more worth.
The existing balance of the universe around us is the result of the interactions between the polarity pairs.Since everything in the universe is in continues movement, Yin and Yang, too, each exist latently in their respective counterpoints. This is sybolized by the white dot in thedark Yin shape and the black dot in the white Yang shape. each of the two poles alredy contains the seed of its counterpoint, and i t is only a matter of time until one polarity transforms into the other.
At some levels, such as that of atoms, this transformation occurs within a split second, whereas the polarity change between the male and female principles at the human level always requires separate incranations.Day and nicht only need an average of twelve hours for such a transformation, while inhaling and exhaling only take a few seconds.
All things come and go are in a state of continuous movement and transformation due to the interaction of these two basic forms of energy in the universe, but it is only by the completion of both cycles that complete onness is achieved.
Love and sexuality are based on the same principle. Two poles push to melt into one, they attract one another like the poles of a magnet,, and when the two opposite energies finally unite, they interchange.
Men and women are poled oppositely in all their basic characteristics, including the energetic level.Where men are poled positively, women are poled negatively, abd vice cersa. As we have already explained in the previous chapter,this phenomenon also applies to the direction in ehich the individualo chakras rotate. ( In cases of homosexuality, for instance, the energetic poling is contrary to the rule.) Consequently there is attraction and fulfillment between the sexes on all the levels represented by the chakras, and this can bring about total and profound oneness. In order for this to occur the chakras have to be clear of all bloackages.
