Our thoughts, ideas and rational and intuitive perceptions are transmitted by the mental body. Its vibrations are superior to those of the etheric and astral bodies and its structure is less dense. It has an oval shape and, as the person progresses to a higher level, their volume can increase until they occupy approximately as much space as the astral body and the emotional aura are connected. The radiation of the mental body surpasses them in a few meters.
In the case of a mentally underdeveloped person, the mental body appears as a milky white substance. Their colors are dull and opaque and their structure seems relatively insensitive. The more vivid a person's thoughts are and the deeper their consciousness becomes, the clearer and more intense the colors of the mental body become.
Like the astral body, the mental body has an upper and lower octave. Its lower frequencies are expressed through the linear thought of the rational mind, the access of most people to the truth. This type of mental activity is based on perceptions on a physical level where the information is supported by the physical body and its senses and transmitted to the astral body through the etheric body. The astral body translates the information into feelings and transmits them to the mental body, which then responds by formulating the corresponding verbal thoughts. Under the influence of the astral body and its unresolved emotional patterns, information is often changed and thought is biased. Repeated patterns of thought appear, with which we judge what happens in our world. This means that the rational mind can almost never be neutral and neutral, although he himself claims it.
The thoughts that arise in the mental body in this way usually refer to personal well-being and concern for material matters. In this process, the main function of the mental body is to provide more and more rational solutions to problems. However, this is a distortion of his original character and a limitation of his abilities. The function that the mental body is supposed to perform is to absorb the universal truths that are derived from it, from the level of the spiritual body, and integrate it into the rational mind. This in turn means applying these truths to concrete situations and aligning the solutions with the universal law.
The knowledge that reaches us in this journey from the spiritual level of our being is expressed in intuitions and sudden intuitions, such as images or sounds, which are then transformed into verbal thoughts. This gives us an idea of the true nature of things and is holographic in nature, as opposed to the linear understanding that emanates from the rational mind.
The upper octave of the mental body can be reached by connecting the Third Eye Chakra with the Crown Chakra.
Once the mental body is fully developed, it becomes the mirror of the spiritual body, and the person recognizes the wisdom and holistic knowledge of the Higher Self in his life.
