Dhyan Mudra



The practice of Dhyan Mudra helps to get rapid progress in the practice of meditation.;



Dhyana Mudra is a hand mudra that yogis use during meditation to strengthen and improve their capacity for concentration and healing. Both hands are on the knees, right on the left side, palms up.

In Buddhism, this mudra is exposed through the touch of the thumbs. This form of the triangle represents the three jewels of Buddhism: Buddha, Sangha (community) and Dharma (teachings). The articulation of the thumb also represents the union of the masculine and feminine principles that can be found in every human being.

How to do Dhayan mudra

  •  Put your left hand on your knees and place it palm up.

  •  Place the right back of the hand on the left palm of the hand.

  •  Lightly touch the ends of the thumbs to form a hollow sphere.

  •  Hold this mudra for 5 to 10 minutes in front of the navel.


The right hand represents the illumination, while the left represents the illusion.
