Mint is a popular spice that is widely used in Indian cuisine. It is an upright perennial herb, marked with modified subterranean trunks. The shoots produced by these stems have four angles and oval leaves that are simple, delicate, thin, dark green and fragrant.

Mint contains many vitamins and is rich in various minerals. Fresh and dried leaves are used for mint sauce, gelatin and flacours. Mental oil is used in chewing gum, toothpaste and confectionery and pharmaceutical preparations.
