Salabhasana(Locust Posture)



Salabhasana(Locust Posture):

Salabha is a name of the insect called Locust. In the final position it looks like a locust.
Sthiti:
Lie down on the prone with hands above the head keeping straight along side the head resting the palms on the ground , touching  the chin on the floor and legs together, soles acing up. Keep the body from toes to head in a straight line.
1.       Make the fists and place it under the root of the thigh.
2.       Raise  both the legs together up from the waist.
3.       Return to position No.1
4.       Return to sthiti.

Useful I combating constipation , gastritis,diabetes and lumbago.

Mode of Brending.
In the final position the knees should be straight.
Mode of breathing:
Breathe out when ever  you move downwards and inhale while rasing up .Normal breathing in the final position.
